Install New Center Steering Arm Weldment
Refer to Figure 6, Figure 8 and Figure 9
10. Make sure new center steering arm
is oriented
correctly - the larger diameter of the tapered holes
must be on top. (The taper spirals downward with
smaller diameter on the bottom.) Also notice if cor-
rectly oriented the set screw
is located on the top
part of the center arm weldment .
11. Put key back in place and then set screw .
12. Coat the shaft steering spindle with anti-seize.
13. Use a C-clamp to aid in maneuvering new center
steering arm in place.
14. Slide new steering arm weldment onto top of
steering spindle shaft . Using C-clamp press
steering arm weldment down on steering spindle
shaft.
