Command-Line Usage
If you are accustomed to doing your work from Terminal
shells, and need or prefer to run the distributed processing
system from the command line with minimal use of
application interfaces, this appendix is for you.
The appendix includes the following topics:

Installing Apple Qmaster from the Command Line
Follow these steps to install Apple Qmaster software on each computer you want to
use for distributed processing. (All computers must be on the same subnet.)

Copy the standalone installer package (AppleQmasterNode.mpkg) to the remote system.
You can either use the Finder, or copy the files using Secure Copy:
scp
Note: Do not alter the file hierarchy of the packages.

Log into the remote system.

Enter the following command:
sudo installer -pkg AppleQmasterNode.mpkg -target /

Do one of the following to start the Apple Qmaster processes:
 Enter this command:
sudo systemstarter start Qmaster\ services
 Restart the remote computer

Repeat these steps for each computer in your distributed processing network.
