EOIP (10)
EOIP occurs when an asynchronous I/O operation has not finished before
some other call is made. During asynchronous I/O, you can only use
ibstop
,
ibnotify
,
ibwait
, and
ibonl
or perform other non-GPIB
operations. If any other call is attempted, EOIP is returned.
Solutions
Resynchronize the driver and the application before making any further
NI-488.2 calls. Resynchronization is accomplished by using one of the
following functions:
ECAP (11)
ECAP results when your GPIB interface lacks the ability to carry out an
operation or when a particular capability has been disabled in the software
and a call is made that requires the capability.
Solutions
Check the validity of the call, or make sure your GPIB interface and the
driver both have the needed capability.
ibnotify callback
If the
ibsta
value passed to the
ibnotify
callback contains CMPL, the driver and
application are resynchronized.
ibnotify
If the returned
ibsta
contains CMPL, the
driver and application are resynchronized.
ibwait
If the returned
ibsta
contains CMPL, the
driver and application are resynchronized.
ibstop
The I/O is canceled; the driver and application
are resynchronized.
ibonl
The I/O is canceled and the interface is reset;
the driver and application are resynchronized.
