Energy management
General information on energy management
The battery operating time is considerably dependent on the applications used. Please consider that
a particularly large amount of energy is required to play sound files. Therefore, if you want to work for
several hours without a power connection, limit the use of energy-intensive applications.
Data exchange with a PC or notebook also consumes additional battery power. Therefore, always
connect your Pocket PC to an electrical outlet during data exchange if possible.
Using energy-saving functions
You can save energy in several ways to optimally utilise the battery operating time:

Switch the Pocket PC into the Suspend mode when you are not using it (see "Configuring
Suspend mode" and "Switching Pocket PC off and on during normal use" chapters).
● Reduce the display lighting (see "Adjusting display lighting" chapter).
● Switch off the sound, reduce the volume or only allow acoustic signals for certain applications
(see "
Adjusting the volume" chapter).
