OPERATION
FAST IDLE
RANGE
MAXIMUM FAST IDLE
If the engine is not properly
warmed-up bef ore raising the engine
speed, the buzzer and overheat
indicator may activate, and the
engine speed will be automatically
reduced.
TAKING CARE OF
UNEXPECTED PROBLEMS
Before getting under way, allow
the engine to warm up sufficiently
to ensure good performance.
Above 41°F (5°C), warm up the
engine for 2 or 3 minutes.
Below 41°F (5°C), warm up the
engine for at least 10 minutes at
2,000 rpm. Raise the fast idle lever
to achieve approximately 2,000
rpm.
If the fast idle lever was used to
warm up the engine, gradually
lower the lever as the engine
warms up.
When the fast idle lever is fully
lowered, the control lever can be
moved away from the N (neutral)
position.
