Lens is obstructed Something is
blocking the lens
from extending
at power up. Clear space for the lens so
it can extend.
Unsupported card The card in the
memory slot is
not a memory
card or is not a
supported
memory card. Ensure that the memory
card is the proper type for
your camera. (See
Appendix B: Specifications
on page 105.)
No card in
camera The camera does
not have a
memory card
installed. Install a memory card.
Card is
unformatted The memory
card needs to be
formatted. Format the memory card
by using the
Format Card
option in the Delete sub-
menu of the Playback
menu. (See Delete on
page 55.) This will delete
all data on the card.
Card has wrong
format The memory
card is formatted
for a different
device such as
an MP3 player. Re-format the card by
using the
Format Card
option in the Delete sub-
menu of the Playback
menu. (See Delete on
page 55.)
Unable to format The memory
card is
corrupted. Replace the memory card.
