4 Begin Index Search

Press REW or F.FWD button. The VCR begins rewinding or fast forwarding to the
beginning of desired program.

Note:

Every time an index signal is skipped, the number in the program indicator decreases by

one.

5 After Index Search

When the preset program is reached, the VCR will start playback automatically.

NOTES:
• Index Search can be set up to 20.
• This function will not operate in the recording mode.
• Procedures must be followed within 30 seconds, from steps [2] to [3]. Otherwise the Index
Search mode will be cancelled.
• To exit the Index Search mode, press the MENU button after step [3]. Or press STOP button
after step [4].
• A video cassette must be inserted in the VCR for this function to work.

TIME SEARCH

The Time Search function makes it possible to quickly advance the tape to your desired
position from any position by entering the exact amount of playback time of the part you
want to skip.
Example:

To watch a program after 2 hour 50 minutes from present position, in either

direction.

1 Select "SEARCH SELECT"

Press MENU button on the remote control repeatedly so that the SEARCH SELECT
menu appears.

2 Select "TIME SEARCH"

Press PLAY/

or STOP/

repeatedly to point to "TIME SEARCH".

Then, press F.FWD/ button.
