8. MAINTENANCE

Chassis

Clean the underside of the chassis. Brush or wipe with
a damp cloth.

Wheels

Clean around the front and rear wheels and around the
front wheel suspension.

Body

Use a damp, soft sponge or cloth to clean the body.
If the body is very dirty it may be necessary to use
a soap solution or washing-up liquid.

Take special care to keep the two ultrasonic sensors
clean from dust and dirt at all times. When the
sensors are covered in dirt (i.e. the sensors are not
functioning), the mower will run at a much lower
speed than normal in order to avoid hard collisions.
The low speed could mean that the mower does not
have time to finish mowing the designated area.

8.6 Replacing the blades

On Automower

®

260 ACX five blades are screwed

onto the blade disc. The blades have four edges to
ensure a longer service life. Two of the edges are
equally worn as the blade disc rotates alternately to
the left and alternately to the right. When the edges (1
and 2) have become dull, loosen the screw and turn
the knife over so that edges 3 and 4 are facing
outwards.

All five blades and screws must be replaced at the
same time to ensure the cutting system is balanced.

There are several different types of mower blades to
choose from as accessories, with different features.
Use Husqvarna AB approved blades only, see the
table. Please contact your dealer for more information.

WARNING

Always use original blades and
screws when replacing.
Only replacing the blades and
reusing the screw can result in the
screw wearing during mowing and
shearing off. The blades can then be
thrown out and cause serious injury.
