Product Packaging The EVA4100 Starter Kit includes 1-2C1D 4U FC dual HSV200-B controller assembly and 14-bay Model
M5314C FC Drive Enclosure, 8 disk drives (in either 146GB 15K or 300GB 10K capacities), dual-port
2/4Gb/s FC-AL, 1-inch (2.54 cm) drives, 1 CV EVA media kit, 4-1 TB LTUs T3725A and firmware XCS
6.110. The EVA4100 Starter Kit is designed to address smaller SAN configurations that need affordable,
fast and easy complete small-SAN deployment. The EVA4100 Starter Kit allows you to quickly implement
a small-SAN with room to easily grow capacity using standard EVA4100 components (drives, shelves,
etc.) as needed up to 28TBs. In EMEA, this kit includes Installation and Startup Service. This service is
available separately in all other regions.
The EVA4100 SAN Starter Kit includes all of the above from the EVA4100 Starter Kit. In addition, it
includes 4 HP StorageWorks HP StorageWorks FC2142 4Gb PCI-e HBA's, 1 HP StorageWorks 4/8
Base SAN Switch, 8 4Gb SFPs, 4 StorageWorks LC/LC 15m Cables, 4 StorageWorks LC/LC 2m
Cables and Emulex's EZpilot software. This starter kit provides an all-inclusive simplified and automated
SAN solution optimized for Microsoft Windows. EZPilot, used in conjunction with Command View EVA,
streamlines and automates the deployment of your SAN. The EVA4100 SAN Starter Kit allows you to
easily and quickly implement a SAN based with EVA and its best in class usability. With the basic SAN
components and management software in place, you can grow your SAN environment easily and on
your terms.
NOTE: The EVA4100 SAN Starter is not available in EMEA.

and firmware XCS 6.110. The EVA4100 Starter Kit for HP Bladesytstem is designed for HP BladeSystems
environments that need affordable, fast and easy complete small-SAN deployment. This Starter Kit allows
you to quickly implement a small-SAN with room to easily grow capacity using standard EVA4100
components (drives, shelves, etc.) as needed up to 28TBs. This Starter Kit must be purchased in
conjunction with an HP BladeSystems. In EMEA, this kit includes Installation and Startup Service. This
service is available separately in all other regions.

The EVA4100 packaging consists of a 4U FC dual HSV200-B controller assembly and 14-bay Model
M5314C FC Drive Enclosures. The EVA4100 is designed to address moderate capacity needs ranging
(from 1 - 56TB) as well as high performance options in commercial environments.
The EVA6100 packaging consists of a 4U FC dual HSV200-B controller assembly and four 14-bay
Model M5314C FC Drive Enclosures. The EVA6100 is designed to address moderate capacity needs
ranging (from 1 - 112TB) as well as high performance options in commercial environments.
The EVA4100 Starter Kits, EVA4100, EVA6100 EVA8100 configurations allow a wide range of
configuration options. The bundled models offer flexible factory rack-mounting options in either a standard
42U cabinet (based on the HP 10000 G2 Series Rack- or a choice of 42U extended 36U and 22U
heights). The new factory racking options allow the EVA4100 Starter Kits, EVA4100, EVA6100 and
EVA8100 to be factory integrated into cabinets with a wide variety of other HP offerings such as servers
and tape back-up offerings. The EVA8100 bundled models consists of a 4U FC dual HSV210-B controller
assembly, 14-bay HP StorageWorks Model M5314C FC Drive Enclosures, four FC Loop Switches
(optional for 2C2D model, standard for 2C6D and 2C12D models). The EVA8100 factory racking
options allow the EVA8100 to be factory integrated into cabinets with a wide variety of other HP
offerings such as servers and tape back-up offerings.
The EVA8100 is designed to address moderate to large capacity needs ranging (from 2 - 18 drive
enclosures, 1 - 240TB) as well as high performance options in commercial environments.
The EVA4100/6100 and EVA8100 are also available as a Controller Pair Assembly, individual
