age, drain and clean the Fuel Tank (2C, 10C).

Problem

Engine will not start or runs

Check for amount of fuel.

Make sure Choke Lever is in proper position.

Make sure Spark Plug Wire is not loose.

Check condition of Spark Plug. Wipe off any access fuel with

a clean, dry cloth. Prior to reinstalling the spark plug, vent the
combustion chamber by pulling the start grip several times.
Make sure Air Filter assembly is clean.

Make sure to press Decompression Valve before starting. Clean/

replace valve if it pops up without being pulled when unit is off.
Have a qualified service technician check the ignition system.

Have a qualified technician check/adjust the carburetor. The

carburetor is not set to run satisfactorily at altitudes above 5,000
ft.
Engine smokes excessive-
ly when running.
1. Check for proper mix of fuel.
2. Check Air Filter condition.
Saw Blade not rotating up
to full speed.
Check for proper mix and amount of fuel.

Check condition of Spark Plug.

Adjust tension on V-Belt.

Make sure Blade is undamaged.
