Lamp Brightness Control
This SmartSet ® Clock Radio includes a unique Touch Pad on the top panel to
control the brightness of any nightstand or table lamp that is connected to the
special lamp socket on the back of the radio. The lamp control works with normal
1-way or 3-way incandescent bulbs up to 150 watts maximum.

FLUORESCENT BULBS, HALOGEN BULBS, HIGH INTENSITY BULBS, OR
INCANDESCENT BULBS OVER 150 WATTS TO THE LAMP SOCKET ON
THIS RADIO.
CAUTION: THIS OUTLET IS ONLY USED WITH NORMAL INCANDESCENT
LAMPS RATED AC120V, 150WATT MAXIMUM BULBS. DO NOT CONNECT
FLUORESCENT LAMPS, HALOGEN LAMPS, OR ANY OTHER APPLIANCE
OR DEVICE.
1.) Remove the plastic socket cover from the lamp
socket as shown.
You should retain the socket cover and re-install it in the lamp socket if a lamp
will not be connected to the socket for an extended period of time.
2.) Connect your lamp to the lamp socket
as shown.
• 1-Way Bulbs (150W Max) - Switch the lamp ‘On’ as usual.
• 3-way Bulbs (150W Max) - Switch the lamp ‘On’ as usual and set it to the
brightest setting.
