REMOVING THE DRUM
DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER
SOURCE.
1. Open the belt sander guards and remove the sanding
belt.
2. Remove nut (A) and washer from the shaft (J) Fig. 59.

3. Insert the two 1/4-20x1-3/4" socket head screws
through holes (C) and (D) Fig. 60, on the retraction plate
(E).
4. Thread screws (C) and (D) Fig. 60 into the two
tapped holes (F) in the drum.

5. Thread a 5/16-18 x 1-1/4" socket head screw (G)
Fig. 61, into the tapped hole (H) in the retraction plate.
6. Turn screw (G) Fig. 61, against shaft (J) Fig. 60. This
will pull the drum off the shaft.
7. To install drum, place the drum on the shaft, replace
the washer and nut that were removed in STEP 2 and
tighten securely.
