Connects with POE-161,
the POE-162S Splitter Installation
1. Connects a standard network cable from
“Ethernet+DC” port of POE-161 to “PoE In” port of
POE-162S. The POE LED of POE-162S / POE-161 will
light on continuance.

Warning
The POE-162S accepts IEEE 802.3at
equipment for optimal power injection, other
Non-standard PoE power device may cause
the POE-162S malfunction.
Connects with 802.3at Switches and
Media Converter
The POE-162S also provides the alternative to make the
non IEEE 802.3at devices the possibility to connect with
an IEEE 802.3at in-line power device like Power over
Ethernet Injector, Power over Ethernet Switch or Power
over Ethernet Media Converter. The figure shows as
below.

2. Connects the UTP cable in the package from
“Ethernet” port of POE-162S to the RJ-45 port of
remote device.
3. Adjusts proper DC power output and connects DC
plug from “DC OUT” of POE-162S to remote device.
Caution
1. Please ensure the output voltage is
correct for remote device.
2. Forbid to switch the Power DIP during
operation. Otherwise, it will damage your
device.
4. Power on the remote device and its LED indicator will
remains on.
