1. Package Contents
Check the following contents of your package:
Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch x 1
User's Manual x 1
Rubber Feet x 4
If any of these are missing or damaged, please contact
your dealer immediately; if possible, retain the carton
including the original packing material, and use them
again to repack the product in case there is a need to
return it to us for repair.
3. Switch Front Panel
Figure 3-1 shows the front panel of GSD-803PD.

Step 4: Connect your Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch to
network devices.
A. Connect one end of a standard network
cable to the 10/100/1000Mbps RJ-45 ports
on the Back of the Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD
Switch.
B. Connect the other end of the cable to the
network devices such as printer servers,
workstations or routers..
Step 5: Supply power to the Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD
Switch.
A. Connect one end of the RJ-45 UTP cable
from 802.3af PoE PSE devices to the port 8
of Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch.
When the Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch receives
power, the Power LED should remain solid Green.
5. Switch Rear Panel
Figure 5-1 shows the rear panel of GSD-803PD.

1. The Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch
supports two power systems, DC 5V or
powered from PoE Port # 8 that supports
802.3af PoE 48V DC in-line power.
2. The default package of Gigabit Ethernet
PoE PD Switch does not include DC 5V
power adapter. If you need this DC 5V
power adapter, please contact your local
dealer or distributor for more assistance.

6. Installing the Switch
This part describes how to install your Gigabit Ethernet
PoE PD Switch and make connections to it. Please
read the following topics and follow the procedures as
presented.
Note
This Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch does
not need software configuration.
Desktop Installation
To install the Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch on
desktop, simply follow the following steps:
Step 1: Attach the rubber feet to the recessed areas
on the bottom of the Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD
Switch.
Step 2: Place the Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch on
desktop near an 802.3af PoE PSE device.
Step 3: Keep enough ventilation space between the
Gigabit Ethernet PoE PD Switch and the
surrounding objects.
