Operating System Support
The LSI SAS 2004 controller chip JTAG signals are not connected to the corresponding signals in the PCIe connector.

LSI SAS 9211-4i HBA Characteristics
5.1
Flash
The LSI SAS 9211-4i HBA has onboard Flash ROM for the firmware and BIOS. The LSI SAS 9211-4i HBA provides one

x 8-bit Flash ROM for storing the firmware and BIOS.
5.2
Connectors
This section describes the different connectors on the LSI SAS 9211-4i HBA. See
for connector locations.
PCIe Connector (J1). The LSI SAS 9211-4i HBA supports a x4 interface. The PCIe connection is through the edge
connector, J1, which provides connections on both the top (J1B) and bottom (J1A) of the board. The signal definitions
and pin numbers conform to the PCIe specification.
SATA+SAS Connector (J7). The LSI SAS 9211-4i HBA supports SATA and SAS connections through connector J7, an
SFF-8087 mini-SAS, internal, right-angle connector.
