Using the scale as a
picture frame
When using the scale as a picture frame, you have
the options of mounting the scale on a wall or
standing it up on the stand

Mounting the device on a wall:
CAUTION! Check that the selected wall is
suitable for attaching the product before you start
mounting it.
RISK TO LIFE FROM ELEC-
TRIC ShICK! Before mounting, check the wall for
concealed cables.
CAUTION! WATER DAMAGE! Before mount-
ing, check the wall for concealed water pipes.
Note: To complete this step will require an electric
drill.
CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Refer to the
operating instructions for your electric drill.
Now insert the desired picture into the scale.
Mark the positions of the drilled holes on the
wall (spacing 22.5 cm)
Drill the holes and insert a dowel into each.
Screw two screws into them. Do not screw the
screws completely in.

Check that the scale is hanging safely and firmly.
Using the stand:
First insert the desired picture into the scale.

completely, so that the
stand lies at right angles to the scale (see Fig. K).
Place the scale down on a level surface.
Check that the scale is safe and stable.
Troubleshooting
This appliance has delicate electronic compo-
nents. This means that if it is placed near an
object that transmits radio signals, it could
cause interference. If the display indicates a
problem, move such objects away from it.
Electrostatic charge can lead to the appliance
failing. In cases of the appliance failing to
work remove the batteries for a short while and
then replace them.
Cleaning
Do not use chemical cleaners or scouring
agents for cleaning the device.
Clean the device using a slightly moist cloth.
For more stubborn dirt you can also apply a
weak soap solution to the cloth.
Never immerse the device in water or other
liquids. Ignoring this advice may damage the
device.
Ensure that no water enters the device. If this
does occur, then wait until the device has dried
out fully before you use it again.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recy-
clable materials, which you may dispose
of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
product.
To help protect the environment, please
dispose of the product properly when it
has reached the end of its useful life and
not in the household waste. Information
on collection points and their opening
hours can be obtained from your local
authority.
Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in accord-
ance with Directive 2006 / 66 / EC. Please return
the batteries and / or the device to the available
collection points.
