INTRODUCTION & SPECIFICATION
Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard this product will, if used according to these instructions and properly maintained, give
you years of trouble free performance.
IMPORTANT: READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS.
USE THE TOOL CORRECTLY AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE

WARNING! Failure to use this load binder properly may result in
serious injury or even death to you or others.
DO NOT operate the load binder while standing on the load,
stand on the ground. Be aware that ice, snow, rain, oil can
affect your footing. Wear suitable non slip footwear.
Move the handle with caution, it may whip, keep your body clear
and out of the path of the moving handle.
Make an inspection prior to each use, make sure that the
spindles move easily within the travel range and that no
damage
is noticeable. In the event of damage such as:
deformation, cracks, signs of severe wear or signs of corrosion
the binder must not be used any more.
Familiarise yourself with the regulations regarding size and
number of chain systems required for securing loads on trucks
etc.
Chain tension may decrease due to load movement during
transport. Check tension after periodically.
Consider the safety of nearby workers as well as your own
safety when using the load binder.
The load binder must not bear against an object whilst under
tension as this will cause a side load.
Use the load binder in a well lit location.
DO NOT use this product to perform a task for which it is not
designed.
DO NOT use whilst under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
intoxicating medication.

conditions and situations that may occur. It must be
understood that common sense and caution are factors
which cannot be built into this product, but must be
applied by the operator.
Manufactured from heat treated, drop forged steel for added strength.
Suitable for clamping, binding, anchoring and tying down large loads.
Ideal for farmers and HGV drivers. Fitted with 354mm handle for extra
leverage.

Arrange chains over load to be secured.
3.1.1. Ensure that there is thread showing behind each hook of the
load binder to allow it to wind in.
3.1.2. Hook binder through each end of the chain and operate ratchet
pawl to pull the chain into tension.
3.1.3. Tie off any slack chain.
Environmental Protection.
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as
waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted,
taken to a recycle centre and disposed of in a manner which
is compatible with the environment.
