• Insert the cylinder filling nozzle of the refill gas (see picture
Ⓐ) point-
ing down vertically onto the gas filling valve of the burner (No.
7
). For
best results use pumping actions. After filling/refilling wait a few min-
utes so that the gas becomes stabilized. Ignite only after this procedure.
• Filling must be carried out outside and in a distance from all possi-
ble igniting sources, such as open flames, pilot lights, electrical cook-
ing appliances and away from other persons. Do not smoke when
filling the device (Risk of explosion in case of non-observance).
Use the device only in well ventilated rooms.
Ignition/Adjustment of the flame
Ⓐ At first fill the device with the supplied gas for lighters as shown on
the picture. Press (pump) the cylinder several times at the gas fill-
ing valve.
Ⓑ Flame adjustment: When igniting the device position the flame ad-
justment lever in the middle between min.
⊖ and max. ⊕. With the
flame adjustment lever you can adjust the flame length (small/big).
You can adjust the length of the flame during the use by moving the
flame adjustment lever (picture
Ⓑ) back and forth. Sliding towards
⊕ causes a stronger flame, towards ⊖ a weaker flame.
Ⓒ Release the safety latch of the piezo ignition: Simply push down
the red safety latch, which is under the piezo ignition button, and
release it.
Ⓓ Ignite: Press now piezo ignition button and hold it.
Attention: The piezo ignition button (picture
Ⓓ) can be pressed only
if the red release safety latch (picture
Ⓒ), which is underneath, has
been pushed down.
Note: If the piezo ignition button (picture
Ⓓ) is not pressed in cor-
rectly, the safety latch (picture
Ⓒ) springs up immediately and it is
not possible to press the ignition button or to ignite the device. If
this happens start the ignition process from the beginning!
Ⓔ Continuous flame: Hold the piezo ignition button pressed and at
the same time slide the red continuous flame lever (as the black lower
arrow indicates in picture
Ⓔ) to the position LOCK – ready. The
flame of the device burns now continuously.
Ⓕ Switch off the device: To extinguish the flame, simply release the
piezo ignition button. If the continuous flame lever is in position
LOCK, slide it into the OFF position (see picture
Ⓕ). The device is
switched off.
Storage and transportation
After end of work and before storage ensure that the device has cooled
down completely, before you store it securely and in a dry place. The
same applies for transport. Here you must ensure that the device is se-
cured and cannot fall over or down.
Cleaning the device
To clean the device, wait until the burner has cooled down and use a
dry cloth. Do not use any cleansing agents because the openings in
the burner and the nozzle could become blocked.
Care of the device + maintenance
Use only recommended spare parts. Do not use a device where any
parts are damaged. Any repairs, as well as replacement of the nozzles,
must be carried out only by an authorized specialist dealer for liquid
gas or the manufacturer. In case of a repair bring the device back to
the shop where you have purchased it. From here it can be sent for
maintenance and repair back to the manufacturer.
Do not change settings of the device or make modifications from those
set by the producer. It could be dangerous to change the structure of
the device on your own authority, to remove parts or to use parts which
are not approved by the manufacturer.
Environmental instructions
The liquid gas used is environmentally friendly, which does not burden
or damage the environment and it is not dangerous for the ozone layer.
Follow the regulations for the liquid gas. The refill cylinder or its con-
tents do not have a restricted shelf-life.
Disposal of the refill cylinder
Emptied gas cylinders can be disposed of through using the waste re-
cycling system. Not fully emptied gas cylinders have to be disposed of
at collection centres for harmful substances.
Disposal of the device
The device is produced of recyclable materials. To dispose of or to re-
cycle this device, get in touch with an authorized local Recycling Of-
fice or a waste disposal company.
We hope the “Culinary Torch CB 50” will be a useful and reliable helper
in your kitchen for many years.

It is possible to measure other consumption data when using the de-
vice with the propane/butane refill. (Important information: The am-
bient temperature has an essential influence on the performance of the
device. As a general rule is that the performance decreases at low tem-
peratures).
