Preparing for use
Commissioning
Take the supplied tripod out of the box and pull the
legs apart. Place the stand on a firm, level surface
(e.g. table). Below the tube clamp is the tripod
mount. Place the tripod mount on the tripod head
and fix the spotting scope by tightening the screw
which is on the tripod head.
Spotting scope to move
With the grip, the spotting scope can be moved
vertically and horizontally. Turn the guiding handle
clockwise to fix the position of the spotting scope.
You unlock it by turning it counterclockwise.
Focus
With the help of the focus control, the image can
be focused.
Zoom
The image section can be set individually by
rotating the zoom wheel. The focus has to be
readjusted after each zoom setting.
Tube moving
At the tube clamp there is a locking screw. If this
screw is rotated counterclockwise, the tube can be
moved. Turn the screw clockwise to fix the position
once you have found the desired position. Tube is
no longer movable.
Lens hood
Pull the lens hood over the front of the spotting
scope when there is bright sunlight or oblique
lighting to avoid reflections. NEVER look directly at
the sun to avoid risk of blindness.
Observation of the landscape / nature
Restless air during summer temperature can
cause a flickering image during observations of
landscapes or distant objects. This is a physical
phenomenon such as fog or haze which will effect
the image quality. Use either the early morning
hours for your observations or decrease the
magnification to improve the image quality in such
a situation.

• Never take your product apart for cleaning.
• Use the cleaning cloth provided or a soft cloth
without threads to clean the product.

• If the lenses are still dirty, dampen the cloth
with a little clear alcohol (methylated spirit).
