Before Initial Use / Putting the weather station into operation
Mounting the outdoor sensor on the wall:
note: You will need an electric drill for this step of the installation.

DAnGEr tO LIFE! Take care that you do not hit electricity, gas or
water lines when you drill into the wall. If necessary, check with a pipe and cable detector
before drilling.

Putting the weather station into operation
Inserting the battery:

Open the battery compartment

on the back of the weather station.

Insert two 1.5 V batteries (AA) (supplied) in the battery compartment

note: Ensure the correct polarity. This is shown in the battery compartment

Close the cover of the battery compartment.

Remove the protective film from the LC display of the weather station.
Once the batteries are inserted, the weather station starts to receive the outdoor sensor signal.
This process does not take more than 3 minutes. During this time the reception symbol of
the outdoor sensor

flashes. After successful reception of the outdoor sensor signal the
weather station starts to receive the DCF radio signal. This process may take up to 5 minutes
and is shown in the LC display by the flashing symbol

Reception may be seriously restricted by certain obstacles (e.g. concrete walls) or sources
of interference (e.g. other electrical devices). If interference with reception of the radio signal
continues, you can also set the time and date manually (see “Setting the time / date manually”).
