Counter-Clockwise
Check that the pedals are not cross threaded into
the crank arms . The right pedal has a normal thread
pattern (clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to
loosen), and left pedal has a reverse thread pattern
(counter-clockwise to tighten, etc .) . When installing
the pedals, use your fingers to start the pedal so you
can feel if you are cross threading them into the crank
arms . Use a 15mm box end wrench to tighten the
pedals after you have installed them finger tight .
