4.2 Loading the Sample Code
1. The acceleration kernel module must be installed and the software must be started
before attempting to execute the sample code. This can be verified by running the
following commands:
# lsmod | grep icp_qa_al
# service qat_service status
Typical output with two acceleration devices is:

2. The sample code is executed by installing the cpa_sample_code kernel object for
kernel space, or by launching the application for user space.
