Remove the items from the main frame by cutting the
banding. Remove the hardware bag and sort the parts by
size.
Torsion Axle:
Mount the axle assembly (Ref.#86) to the center lift frame
(Ref.#30) using four (4) 1/2 X 4 hex bolts, four (4) 1/2 flat
washers and with 1/2 flange lock nuts. Refer to the parts
drawing for the proper placement of the hardware.
Mount the tire and rim assemblies using 80-90 ft. lbs.
torque on the lug nuts using a proper tightening procedure.
Tongue:
Mount the tongue weldment (Ref.#73) to the center lift
frame (Ref.#30) using two (2) 1/2 X 4-1/2 hex bolts and
secure with 1/2 flange lock nuts. After mounting the
tongue to the frame weldment, secure the ground wire with
a 1/4 X 3/4 grounding screw (Ref.#84) to the inside of the
frame as shown in the drawing.
Wiring:
Your new pontoon trailer comes pre-wired. Once the
tongue is installed, plug the yellow wired plug of the
tongue harness. Likewise the green wired plugs are
connected to each other. This is necessary to have your
lighting function properly.
Safety Chains:
Install the safety chains to the tongue by placing a flat
washer at head of the 3/8 X 1-1/4 hex bolt. Insert the bolt
into the end link of the chain and place in the hole provided
in the tongue for the safety chains. Secure with a 3/8 flat
washer and 3/8 flange lock nuts on the inside of the
tongue. Tighten. Repeat on the other side of the tongue.
Front Boat Stops:
Place the front stop weldment (Ref.#49) in the desired
position to stop your boat as it is being loaded on the
trailer. Secure it to the frame with a 1/2 square u-bolt
(Ref.#83) and a 1/2 lock washer (Ref.#59) and 1/2 hex
nut (Ref.#46). Repeat on the other stop. (Note that the
stops are to be used as a stop to which your boat is
winched into position for towing as well as a stop when
driving your pontoon on the trailer.)
Load Guides:
Measure the distance between the pontoons. Allow 1/2
clearance on each side between the pontoon tube and the
load guide you are about to install. Slide out to the correct
width determined at the beginning of this installation. Note
that there are several holes in the bracket to accommodate
various widths of adjustment. Select the one that best
matches your determined width. Secure with a 3/8 flange
lock nuts. Do not tighten at this time. Repeat this process
on the load guide directly across the frame. Double check
the measurement to make sure that you have the correct
clearance between the load guide and the pontoon tube.
Place in the 3/8 X 1 and 3/8 X 4 hex bolts and 3/8
flange lock nuts to secure the load guide as well. Tighten
bolts just installed.
For Brake Models Only:
Actuator & Safety Chain:
Slide the actuator into the actuator housing unit and secure
