Spare Tire Bracket and Tire Wheel Assembly
See Detail F.
Locate the 1/2” x 3 9/16” x 4 1/4” square U-bolts. Place a U-bolt
up and around the tongue of the trailer from the bottom side.
Align the holes in the spare tire mount base with the U-bolt
just placed around the tongue. Insert the U-bolt into the holes
and secure with 1/2” lock washers and hex nuts. Repeat this
process on the remaining U-bolt. Position forward or backward
on the tongue to the desired location that will allow the tire to
be mounted without hitting the front shield. Tighten in position.
Locate the three – ½” x 1 ½” hex bolts. Place them into
the holes in the upper plate of the bracket that correspond
with the rim of the spare tire. Place on a ½” flat washer,
then a ½” fine threaded hex nut. Tighten to hold in position.
Align the three bolts just installed with the holes in the
spare tire rim. Drop the spare tire onto the bolts with the
finished side of the rim facing upward. Secure to the spare
tire bracket using the lug nuts supplied with the kit. Tighten.
Installation is complete.
