Upgrades and
Conversion Upgrading Krystal 4310 or 4320 Models to 4340 Mod-
els
The Video Processor upgrade kit (4300-256) must be ordered for
each 4310 Video Processor being converted. The adapter kit
provides a new Video Processor interface card and interconnect
cables. The new Video Processor interface card provides
communications between the Video Processor and the System
Controller. It replaces the interface card used in single-channel
systems. The modules being replaced should be retained if
conversion back to a 4310 is anticipated in the future. There is no
return or exchange for the modules.
The System Controller is a 13 rack unit chassis which houses up
to four Effects Managers, the Resource Manager, Tally Module,
and the Combiner options. The Resource Manager and Tally
Module are included with the System Controller. When upgrading
a 4310 or 4320 model system, the existing Effects Manager module
sets must be moved from the Video Processors to the System
Controller. One to four Effects Managers can be installed in the
System Controller.
4340 Upgrade

the new 4340 System

The 4340 Upgrade consists of the following components:
• One 4340 System Controller frame
• Resource Manager and Tally Control module
This upgrade kit allows you to upgrade from either a 4310 or a
4320 system.
