1.3. AP Deployment
1.3.1 Deploying an AP with Dynamic IP Addressing (DHCP)
The WAP334NC can receive power from an 802.3af compliant
Ethernet switch, an 802.3af power injector, or a 12V DC power
adaptor. Power injectors and adaptors are not included and are
sold separately. Do not connect two power sources to a single AP
at the same time.
Ethernet switch with 802.3af power
Connect the Ethernet port of each AP to a powered port of an
802.3af Ethernet switch using CAT5e/6 shielded twisted pair
Ethernet cable.
802.3af power injector accessory
Connect the Ethernet port of each AP to the PoE port of the power
injector using an Ethernet cable. Connect the LAN port of the power
injector to an available port of an Ethernet switch. All Ethernet
cables used should be CAT5e/6 shielded twisted pair. Connect the
AC cable of the power injector into an AC outlet.
