Buyer’s installation or use of products purchased from Spohn Performance, Inc.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Safely lift the front of vehicle and support the frame with jack stands. Place a jack stand on the driver and passenger
side. Next, remove the wheels and tires.
2. Place hydraulic floor jacks under the front axle. One on the driver side and one on the passenger side. Raise up on
hydraulic floor jacks until they come in contact with the front axle.
3. On the driver side of the vehicle, place a mark on the coil spring so that it can be installed back into the same location
after the spacer is installed. Repeat procedure on other side.
4. On the driver side of the vehicle, remove upper shock hardware. Place to the side for later installation. Repeat
procedure on other side.
5. On the driver side of the vehicle, remove the three stock nuts that hold the upper shock tower in to place. The stock
nuts can be thrown away. Set the upper shock tower a side for later installation. Repeat procedure on other side.
6. On the driver side of the vehicle, remove the stock lower shock bolt and set a side for later installation. Remove the
stock shock and set a side for later installation. Repeat procedure on other side.
7. Lower down on both hydraulic floor jacks at the same time until the stock coil springs can be removed.
8. Working on the driver side of the vehicle, remove the stock coil spring. Remove the rubber pad. Set the coil spring and
rubber pad a side for later installation. Remove the stock ring that has the bolts connected to it and throw away. Repeat
procedure on other side.
9. Working on the driver side, install the stock coil spring into the stock location. Install the rubber pad at the top of the
coil spring then add the new spacer on top. Raise up on the hydraulic jack until the new spacer goes into the stock
location. Repeat procedure on other side.
10. Working on the driver side of the vehicle, install the stock shock back into the stock location and secure the bottom of
the stock shock with the stock hardware. Torque to 85 ft lbs. Repeat procedure on other side.
11. Working on the driver side, install the stock upper shock tower into the stock location. Secure the new coil spring
spacer to the upper shock mount using the new 3/8” hardware. Torque to 35 ft lbs. Repeat procedure on the other side.
12. Working on the driver side, install the top shock mounts to the stock shock. Repeat procedure on the other side.
13. Install the tires and wheels and safely lower the vehicle to the ground.
