INSTRUCTIONS
1. Lift the carpet inside the vehicle enough to gain access to the top shock mount
through the floor pan. Disconnect the vehicle’s battery (due to welding).
2. Raise vehicle and support with stands. Place a floor jack under the rear housing to
allow lifting and lowering of the rear housing.
3. Remove rear wheels.
4. Install coil over shocks one side at a time. Disconnecting both rear shocks at the
same time will cause the rear end housing to be very unstable!
5. With the rear supported by the floor jack, disconnect one rear shock and remove
it completely from the vehicle. Remove the stock coil spring.
6. Install the top reinforcement plate. Placement will be self explanatory, you want to
line up the hole in the plate with the shock mounting hole in the floor. Mark where
your welds will be around the plate edges and around the i.d. of the plate cut out in
the area of the stock spring seat. Remove the plate and sand the paint/dirt from the
floor pan where the welds will be placed. Re-install the reinforcement plate, place a
bolt and nut through the shock mounting hole to hold the plate firmly in place for
welding. Weld the reinforcement plate into place using a MIG welder. Paint the plate
and weld area.
7. Install the coil over shock as assembled to the bottom rear housing shock mount
using the supplied clevis mount, bolts, washers, and nuts.
