4. Booting Your Windows To Go Workspace
Now that your workspace is ready, you have two primary options for booting: either use the new Windows
8 startup options or manually configure your computer’s BIOS.
Important! Users who will be roaming for the majority of the time while using the WTG device need
to ensure that they also periodically boot the drive on the enterprise network itself. This will prevent
any potential danger of Active Directory objects from being deleted. Administrators should notify their
WTG users of the period interval in which they will need to run the drive on the enterprise’s network.
4.1 Enable Windows To Go Startup options using Windows 8
To enable the Windows To Go Startup options using Windows 8:
1. Press Win+W
2. Type “Change Windows To Go startup options”
3. Press enter
4. Select Yes
5. Click Save Changes
