Flow
Instructions for Use
Description
Compoglass Flow is a light-curing, flowable, single-
component compomer restorative material, which is
radiopaque. Compoglass Flow cures with light in the
wavelength range of 400–500 nm (= blue range of halogen
light). Compoglass Flow combines the advantages of glass
ionomer cements with those of light-curing composite
materials. Furthermore, the flow properties of the materials
permit convenient handling, since Compoglass Flow adapts
to the cavity walls without the use of additional instruments.
Shades
Compoglass Flow is available in 4 shades:
Chromascop A–D shades
140 A2
210 A3
230 A3.5
340 A4
Composition
The monomer matrix consists of urethane dimeth-acrylate,
tetraethylene glycol dimethacrylate, and cycloaliphatic
dicarboxilic acid dimethacrylate (32.9 wt.%). The inorganic
fillers are ytterbium trifluoride, Ba-Al-fluorosilicate glass,
and spheroid mixed oxide (66.8 wt.%). Additional contents
are catalysts, stabilizers, and pigments (0.3 wt.%).
The total contents of inorganic fillers are 41.8 vol.%,
or 66.8 wt. % respectively. The particle size is between
0.2 and 3.0 µm.
Indication
– Restoration of Class V cavities (cervical caries, root
erosion, wedge-shaped defects)
– Restorations in deciduous teeth
– Intermediary restorations
– Anterior Class III restorations
