AdheSE ®
Description
AdheSE is a self-etching light-curing filled two-component
adhesive system for enamel and dentin. It comprises
1. AdheSE Primer
2. AdheSE Bond
Composition
AdheSE Primer: dimethacrylate, phosphonic acid acrylate,
initiators and stabilizers in an aqueous solution
AdheSE Bond: HEMA, dimethacrylate, silicon dioxide,
initiators and stabilizers
Indications
– Adhesive for direct light-curing composite and
compomer restorations
– After light-curing of the bonding component for
build-ups with dual or self-curing composites
Contraindication
If the patient is allergic to any of the components of
AdheSE or if the stipulated working technique cannot
be used.
Direct pulp capping. Not indicated for adhesive
cementation of indirect restorations.
Side effects
Components of AdheSE may cause a sensitizing reaction in
patients with a hypersensitivity to any of the material’s
ingredients. In these cases, the material should not be used.
Interactions
Substances containing eugenol/clove oil inhibit the
polymerization of AdheSE.
