WLAN settings. Ensure that the
Activate WLAN option is enabled. Select one of the available channels for your
wireless network.
We recommend that you keep the default setting Auto because this setting will
allow the dLAN 200 AV Wireless G to periodically select the channel on its own.
In other words, if the previously connected station logs off, the device will imme-
diately scan for a suitable channel. If it is not connected to a station, the device
carries out an automatic channel selection every 15 minutes.
Assign a unique name (SSID) to your WLAN to identify it to your clients. Option-
ally, you can also hide the SSID. A hidden SSID is an additional security factor,
as only those WLAN clients that know the exact name of the network can access
it.
