Introduction

The SW-2001 through SW-2009 displays draw 200 W max power. To find the total power of a
display, multiply 200 by the total number of pieces that comprise it. For example, the SW-
2208 is a vertical multi-sport model with 5 display pieces for a total power draw of 1000 W.
The SW-3104 draws 400 W; the SW-3108 and SW-3118 are both made of two SW-3104
cabinets, and therefore draw 800 W each.

Note: To determine which pieces make up what model and how they are arranged,
refer to Drawing A-130101 and Drawing A-130102 in Appendix A. Refer also to
Drawing A-129639 for detailed views of each display piece and add-on modules.

1.2 Scoreboard Controllers

Daktronics aquatics/track scoreboards are designed for use with OmniSport 2000 timing
consoles. This controller uses keyboard overlays (sport inserts) to control numerous sports
and scoreboard models. Refer to the following manual for operating instructions:

OmniSport 2000 Timing Console Operation Manual (ED-13312)

The control console manual is available online at

www.daktronics.com/manuals

.

It is also possible for these displays to be controlled via third-party timing consoles, such as
those produced by Omega and Colorado Timing Systems (CTS). In these cases, refer to the
documentation provided by the manufacturer.

1.3 Resources

Figure 2 illustrates a Daktronics drawing
label. The drawing number is located in the
lower-right corner of a drawing. This manual
refers to drawings by listing the last set of
digits and the letter preceding them. In the
example, the drawing would be referred to
as Drawing C-325405.

Daktronics identifies manuals by the DD or ED number located on the cover page of each
manual. For example, this manual would be referred to as DD3043167.

Most components within this display carry a white label that lists the part number of the unit.
If a component is not found in the Replacement Parts List in Section 4.7, use the label to order
a replacement. Figure 3 illustrates a typical label. The part number is in bold.

Following the Replacement Parts List is the Daktronics Exchange
Policy and the Repair & Return Program. Refer to these
instructions if replacing or repairing any display component.
