Storage and care

Keep these instructions carefully and also
make them accessible to other users.

Accuracy of readings and the instrument's
service life depend on careful handling.

IMPORTANT

• The weigh plate is made of glass! Frag-

ile!

• Make sure that no liquid comes onto the

scales. Never immerse the scales in wa-
ter. Never rinse them off under running
water.

• Do not place any objects on the scales

when not in use.

• Protect the scales from impact, moisture,

dust, chemicals, major temperature fluc-
tuations and keep away from heat
sources (ovens, radiators). Do not press
the buttons with excessive force or with
any pointed objects.

• Do not expose the scales to high tem-

peratures or strong electromagnetic
fields (e.g. mobile telephones).

• Do not clean the scales in the dish-

washer!

Batteries

WARNING

• Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. You

should store the batteries where they
are inaccessible to small children. If a
battery has been swallowed, medical
assistance must be obtained immedi-
ately.

• Never throw batteries into the fire.

Danger of explosion!

IMPORTANT

• Batteries should not be charged or

reactivated with any other means, nor
should they be taken apart or short-
circuited.

• Remove the batteries if the instrument

is not going to be used for a longer pe-
riod. This prevents any damage as a
result of leakage.

Repair

IMPORTANT

• Never open or repair the instrument,

otherwise perfect functioning is no
longer guaranteed. If these instructions
are not heeded, the warranty becomes
null and void.

• In the event of repairs, please contact

customer service or an authorised
dealer.

Disposal

IMPORTANT

Follow local regulations regarding dis-
posal of materials.
• Used batteries do not belong in domes-

tic waste. Dispose of them through your
electrical dealer or your local recycling
point.
You have a legal obligation to do this.

• The appliance should be

disposed of according to
Regulation 2002/96/EC-
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment). In case of queries, please
contact the municipal authorities re-
sponsible for waste disposal in your
area.
