Appendix B Guide for the Streaming File
Production of the Darwin Streaming Server
The streaming server of the UEBO S400 uses the open-source version of the Apple
Darwin streaming server. According to the official instructions, the video format of the
mov, mp4, and 3gp are supported. The rmvb and rm are commonly used for the
household applications but must be converted through the third-party media. In spite of
the Darwin streaming server supporting or not supporting the video format, the hint
processing of the video file must be implemented. For example, the video file is
distributed as the flow mode on the streaming server. Take the production process of
the streaming files for example.
8. Hint processing instructions for the video file supported by the Darwin streaming
server
Instructions: The Apple QuickTime Pro supports the function of exporting the media
file as the streaming file. Therefore, ensure that the used version is the Apple
QuickTime Pro rather than the QuickTime Player. If the version is QuickTime Player,
purchase the registration number of the QuickTime Pro and upgrade it to the
professional version.
