After you have completed the above step, the
printer should print today’s date, the machine
house number, and your signature (either the
8- character or the 40-character signature,
depending on which library is loaded).
If the printer is not ready, not connected, or
there is any kind of communication problem
with the printer, you will get the following error
message:
Checking printer..
Printer not ready.
