Changing / inserting batteries

Description
Removing housing To take out a battery, the
housing must be turned
counterclockwise. The housing
can then be removed and the
battery is freely accessible.
Removing the Remove the battery from the
old battery battery compartment. Remo-
ve the battery clip from the
battery terminals.
Connect the IMPORTANT: The correct poles
new battery of the battery must be
connected to the smoke
detector’s battery clip.
Insert battery Insert the connected battery in
the battery compartment.
IMPORTANT: After changing the battery, a
function test should be performed.
Testing Function
There is a test button on the front of the smoke
detector. Press the test button until the alarm
sounds. It will then stop after you release the tes-
ting button.
