WARNING: To guarantee the proper functioning
of your smoke detector, do not paint over it.
The following rooms and installation sites may
present problems when installing a smoke alarm:
Site/Type Reason
Kitchen/Bath Cooking steam and humidity
(humidity of 90%)
Garages Combustion engines
(cars, etc.)
Moisture prone Moist air from dryers, steam,
rooms etc. (humidity 90%)
Dusty rooms The smoke detector’s
measuring sensors can become
fouled very quickly.
Sites with strong Air currents from fans, open
air currents windows, ventilation, etc.
