Operating Instructions
Powering the SP-99 and turning it on
• Install 4 AA batteries into the receptacle located on the rear of the device.
Please make sure you have installed them according to the diagram in the
battery receptacle.
• You can also power the SP-99 with the included power adapter by plugging it
into the rear of the SP-99 and inserting the plug into a suitable power outlet.
• Switch the SP-99’s power button to the ON position on the back of the device.
The green power indicator light will turn on and the Bluetooth pairing indicator
light (blue) will blink indicating that the SP-99 is now in pairing mode.
Pairing the SP-99 with your Bluetooth a2dP enabled
Mobile Phone, iPod touch®, iPhone™, or MP3 Player
Pairing creates a unique and encrypted wireless link between the SP-99 and other
Bluetooth enabled devices such as mobile phones, mp3 players, and computers.
• Turn on the SP-99 and ensure your mobile phone is on and in Bluetooth “pairing
mode.” This can be done by accessing the Bluetooth menu on your phone where
you will find an option to “search for new devices.” Please consult your phone’s
instruction manual if you are unsure how to do this.
• After searching for new devices, choose “SP-99” and enter the password
“0000” when prompted.
• Upon successfully pairing the devices, the blue indicator light will remain solid
blue and you will hear a tone indicating pairing is complete.
Note: If a successful pairing can not be established, the blue indicator will blink
intermittently. Please repeat the pairing procedure steps above.
StreaMing wireleSS audio froM your Mobile Phone
Follow the pairing instructions listed above. If you need help setting up your mobile
phone to pair with another Bluetooth device, please consult your mobile phone’s
instruction manual and follow the instructions to complete pairing with the SP-99.
To stream music from your mobile phone, simply access your mobile phone’s music
player and press “play” on your phone’s music player. You are now streaming
music wirelessly!
