SETUP & REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to setup or removal of the SelectProtect, always:
Remove the patient from the mattress.
Turn the SelectAir control unit power entry switch OFF and unplug the power cord. Refer
to the SelectAir Operations Manual for instruction.
Remove all linens, if applicable.
To combine the SelectProtect with a SelectAir System, some disassembly and re-assembly
will be required. The original SelectAir cover will not be used during the integration of the
systems. The SelectAir mattress sheet will not fit the SelectProtect.
To Integrate the SelectProtect with an existing SelectAir Mattress Replacement System:
Unzip the existing SelectAir cover.
Locate the mattress hose fitting where the air supply hose connects to the mattress.
Disconnect the air supply hose from the mattress hose fitting and pass it through the
access hole in the cover.
Remove the SelectAir mattress replacement and mattress pad. Set aside for use with the
SelectProtect.
Unstrap and remove the SelectAir cover.
To set up the SelectProtect:

Place the SelectProtect cover on the
bed so the air hose access hole is at
the foot of the bed.
Using only one zipper pull, unzip the
cover and drape the top section over
the foot of the bed frame.
Place the mattress pad inside the bot-
tom section of the cover.
Place the SelectAir mattress replace-
ment on top of the mattress pad with
the air inlet fitting positioned at the
foot of the bed.
