ANCHORING
IMPORTANT: Proper anchoring is essential for user safety and performance of the
Splash Trax system. Due to the wide variety of conditions, please consult with
your local experts in mooring and anchoring if necessary. Anchors and mooring
lines are sold separately.
Open Water Anchoring
We highly recommend the use of the RAVE Sports Anchor Connecting Kit (RAVE
P/N 01024).
NOTE: There is an anchor ring located on the bottom side of
every Splash Trax module. Anchor to multiple points in open
water situations to provide adequate anchoring and to
prevent damage to the products.
If anchoring a small configuration in a straight line, minimally
use one anchor system at each end of the track. Larger configurations and more
complex orientations will need more anchoring. Take extra care on large
installations, especially on windy bodies of water. A good rule of thumb would
be to anchor every third activity module to prevent
movement. Provide NO slack in the anchor line. Let the
shock cord of the Anchor Connecting Kit absorb the
vertical movement of the product on the water.
Professionally installed ground screws or heavy weights
at each anchoring location may be used depending
upon your specific conditions. Consult an expert if unsure.
Remove the product from the water if strong winds are expected.
