• Press the Zero key. The display will show “-0.0-” when the meter is zeroed and ready for measurement.
• Fill a second cuvette up to the mark with 10 mL of the reacted sample.
• Add 3 drops of Dispersing Agent (HI 93703-51),
replace the cap and invert gently to mix for about
10 seconds.
• Insert the second cuvette into the instrument.
• Press Read to start the reading. The instrument displays the results in mg/L of silver.
INTERFERENCES
Interference may be caused by:
Al
3+ above 30 mg/L Fe 2+ above 1.5 mg/L
Ca 2+ above 1000 mg/L as CaCO
3
Fe 3+ above 10 mg/L
Cd 2+ above 20 mg/L K + above 500 mg/L
Cl¯ above 8000 mg/L Mn 2+ above 25 mg/L
Co 2+ above 1.5 mg/L Mg 2+ above 1000 mg/L as CaCO
3
Cr 3+ above 20 mg/L Na + above 5000 mg/L
Cr 6+ above 40 mg/L Ni 2+ above 1.5 mg/L
