1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Boost Sensor Installation
1.
Drill and tap your intake manifold to 1/8-27 NPT, and directly install
the included boost pressure sensor.

Note: Use a vacuum and/or magnet to remove the metal
shavings from inside the intake manifold.

Note: Use Teflon tape on the boost pressure sensor threads
before installing it to ensure a tight seal and no air leaks.


2.
Connect and route the boost sensor wire harness from the back of the
gauge (upper right port) through the firewall and to the intake manifold.
Once the wire harness has been run to the intake manifold, simply
connect it to the boost pressure sensor.

Note: When running the wire harness to the sensor, be sure to
keep it away from any moving parts or direct heat source by
securing it with zip ties. Also, when passing the wires through
the firewall be sure to use a grommet to prevent them being
cut or damaged.


EGT Probe Installation
1.
There are two common types of exhaust temperature probe
installations. The EGT probe should be installed pre turbo; this will
ensure the most accurate gauge readings.

Exhaust Manifold: Drill and tap the exhaust manifold to
1/8-27 NPT. Directly install the included EGT probe with probe
fittings, bushings, ferrule fitting and nut.

Note: Use a vacuum and/or magnet to remove the
metal shavings from inside the exhaust manifold.

Exhaust Probe Adapter Fitting: You may purchase an
exhaust pipe probe adapter fitting from www.GlowShift.com.
This adapter is clamped and tightened around the exhaust pipe
and provides a 1/8

NPT fitting for an EGT probe. Using a

drill bit, drill your exhaust pipe. Position and tighten the

adapter clamp, then permanently mount the probe through the
fitting and into the exhaust pipe.


2.
Connect and route the EGT probe wire harness from the back of the
gauge (lower left port) through the firewall and to the exhaust manifold.
Once the wire harness has been run to the exhaust manifold, simply
connect the white wire on the harness to the pink wire on the probe then
connect the black wire on the harness to the blue wire on the probe.

Note: When running the wire harness to the probe, be sure to
keep it away from any moving parts or direct heat source by
securing it with zip ties. Also, when passing the wires through
the firewall be sure to use a grommet to prevent them being
cut or damaged.


Fuel Pressure Sensor Installation
1.
Install and connect the fuel pressure sensor to the fuel system (usually
at the fuel filter housing in diesel applications).

Note: When connecting the unit to a Cummins Diesel engine
(usually at the lift pump), you must install a snubber valve. This
eliminates harmful fuel pressure spikes that may result in the
failure of the sending unit. This can be purchased at
www.GlowShift.com

Note: Use Teflon tape on the fuel pressure sensor threads
before installing it to ensure a tight seal and no air leaks.

2. Once the fuel pressure sensor is installed, connect the fuel pressure
sensor wire to the back of the sensor. Once the sensor wire is connected, run
the wire to the back of the gauge and connect it to the back of the gauge
(lower right port).

Note: Be sure to keep the wire harness away from any moving
parts or direct heat source. Also, when passing the wires through
the firewall be sure to use a grommet to prevent them being cut or
damaged.


Connecting the Power Wire Harness
1.
Connect the gauge’s wire harness to the upper left port on the back of
the gauge.

2. Using automotive grade wiring, connect the red wire to a positive 12
volt constant ignition
source. It may be connected to the fuse panel, an
accessory wire, or any positive 12 volt source that is constantly powered.

Note: If you are connecting the red wire directly to the battery,
you MUST install a fuse within 6-8 inches of the battery
connection

.


3.
Using automotive grade wiring (18 gauge); connect the white wire to a
positive 12 volt switched ignition source. It may be connected to the fuse
panel, an accessory wire, or any positive 12 volt source that turns on and off
with the ignition switch of the vehicle.

4.
Using automotive grade wiring (18 gauge); connect the black wire from
the gauge to any good (unpainted) ground connection. You may also route a
wire directly to the negative side of the vehicle’s battery.

5. The Night Time Dimming feature decreases the brightness of the gauge
face by 30%. Connect the orange wire to the 12 volt positive headlamp
source. This allows the mode to be activated when the headlights come on.
This step is optional and will not affect operation of the gauge if it is
omitted. NOTE: Do not connect the orange wire to a dimmer wheel.
This will cause the gauge lighting to flicker.

6.
To make the wiring of your gauges easier you can purchase an
expandable circuit. This component easily fits into your fuse panel and
provides an additional fused power wire for accessories such as gauges. The
expandable circuit is available for purchase at www.GlowShift.com.


7.
Re-connect the negative side of the battery and test the gauge for full
functionality.
