13. Lower the beam and cylinder assembly into the horizontal
position making sure the spring loaded lock pin on the
tongue engages the beam, securing it to the tongue. SEE
FIGURE 10.
14. Straighten the knuckle on the ram and slide the splitting
wedge back toward the cylinder so it couples with the ram
knuckle. Connect the wedge to the ram knuckle using the
wedge pin and two corresponding cotter pins. SEE FIG-
URE 11. Bend the ends of each cotter pin to keep them
from falling out.
15. Attach the valve control handle by removing the upper
pin from the valve. Position the grove on the bottom of
the control handle over the lower pin on the valve. Then
reinsert the upper pin through the holes in the valve and
control handle. Secure the valve handle pins in place using
the corresponding cotter pin. SEE FIGURE 12. Bend the
end of the cotter pin to keep it from falling out.
16. Remove any hydraulic port caps or plugs that are used to
close open hydraulic ports during transport.
