6.1. Control elements and indicators
The
PENTA Medical i5/i7 is equipped with several capacitive system keys with indicators in the front
glass.

•
Power on/off:
Blue illuminated, operates as power switch. After providing power to the system, the
capacitive keys need about 7 seconds before recognizing finger taps.
•
Surface cleaning on/off:
Disables/enables touch function. The white illumination lights brighter on disabled
mode.
Note: Touch input device gets disabled in device manager, please wait about 15
seconds before enabling the touch again.

Brightness up/down:
Backlight brightness in- or decreases on every finger tap. White illumination lights
brighter for a short time at every finger tap.

Key illumination on/off:
Turns off the key illumination of all keys expect the power key. Another tap on the
key turns on the key illumination again.
•
On-screen Keyboard:
Calls up the on-screen keyboard, another tap on the key removes the on-screen
keyboard.
•
Bluetooth on/off:
Turns off the Bluetooth module. White illumination lights brighter on disabled mode.
Another tap on the key turns on the bluetooth module again.
•
Barcode-Scanner:
Turns on the barcode-laser scanner. The laser scans for 5 seconds then turns off
automatically.
