ASSEMBLING THE OPTIONAL HOSE AHACHMENT
(See Figure 3)
1.
Place handle in position on nozzle tube. Secure
front of handle to nozzle with hex bolt 5/8" long
and hex lock nut. Do not tighten at this time.
2.
Place flat washer on hex bolt 1-1/4" long. Place
saddle washer on hex bolt, with the crowned side
of the washer against the head of the hex bolt.
3.
Place the hex bolt (with washer attached) down
through the other hole in the handle and nozzle.
Secure with hex lock nut. Tighten both hex bolts
and nuts securely.
4.
Slide one hose clamp on each end of the hose
(loosen hose clamps if necessary). Slide one end
of hose over the round opening in the nozzle, and
secure with hose clamp. Slide other end of hose
over the plug, and secure with hose clamp. Make
certain both hose clamps are tightened securely.

WARNING:
Be
certain
to
stop
the
engine
and
disconnect
the
spark
plug
wire
from
the
spark
piug
before
attaching
or
remov
ing the vacuum hose from the vacuum.
To Attach the Vacuum Hose to the Hopper:
Insert the plug end of the hose into the hopper. Slide
the front (curved) portion down into position first, then
push down on the rear of the plug, past the locking
tabs. See figure 4.
To Remove the Vacuum Hose From the Hopper:
Standing behind the hopper, pivot the neck of the plug
backwards
until
front
of
plug
releases
from
hopper.
Then pull the rest of the plug out of the hopper.
A
WARNING:
Keep
away
from
the
muffler
as it is hot. Do not allow the hose to con
tact the muffler.
Do not pull on the hose to move the chip
per-shredder. Unit could tip over.
