SCALLOPING
Dainty scallops are used extensively as self trimming on blouses, dresses, lingerie
and children,s wear.
Perfectly termed and evenly spaced scallops are produced automatically by just
setting the machine for decorative stitch design number C-1 and zigag stitch width
and buttonhole control knob at 0.
Set the stitch length to suit. The longer the stitch length the longer the scallop.
After stitching, trim seam allowance to less than bg inch and clip into turned
edges. Some fabrics may also need notching for a smooth evenly turned edge.
Turn gently, roll out scallops between fingers and press.
When forming scalloped tucks, add an extra % inch to tuck allowance for seaming.
