6.0 Unloading the Pistol
6.1 Unloading the Pistol (Magazine not Empty)
1. Keep the muzzle of the pistol in a safe direction. Push the manual safety
UP to engage
2. Remove your finger from the trigger.
3. Remove the magazine (5) by means of the magazine catch (60).
4. Depress the manual safety to unlock the slide.
5. Pull back the slide until it stops. The cartridge will be ejected.
6. Engage the slide stop by pressing upward to lock the slide back.
7. Check the pistol visually and manually.
8. Depress the slide stop to release the slide - slide moves forward.
9. Decock the hammer as follows: Hold the hammer back, then pull the
trigger and lower the hammer to its decocked position.
10. Empty the magazine of all ammunition.
11. Visually and manually check the chamber to
ensure the pistol is completely free of
ammunition.
