CAUTION:
DO NOT add holding tank deodorant to top freshwater tank.
AVOID adding holding tank deodorant through bowl. Use cap on rear of bottom tank if possible. Rinse off any spilled or
splashed deodorant immediately. Atmospheric pressure and temperature changes may cause pressure buildup in lower
holding tank. Caution should be used when first opening slide valve.
Deodorants may be harmful or fatal if swallowed. Avoid breathing of vapor for prolonged or repeated periods. Contact with
skin, eyes and mucous membranes should be avoided. Allergic irritation may result from prolonged or repeated contact with
skin.
FIRST AID: If product contacts eyes or skin, flush area immediately with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Get prompt
medical attention for eyes. If ingested, give one or two glasses of water or milk. Induce vomiting and contact
physician or Poison Control Center immediately.
PREPARING FOR USE
OPERATION
1. Depress bellows pump to add water to the bowl (see Figure 1).
2. After use, pull slide valve handle out.
3. Depress bellows pump one or more times to rinse bowl.
4. Close slide valve by pushing handle fully in.
HOW TO USE
EMPTYING TANK
Use and operation of the Adventurer
®
portable toilet may vary depending on your particular application and preference. If any
questions arise about proper use or maintenance, please contact your dealer or SeaLand for assistance. Following are the
recommended procedures for use and maximum operating efficiency.
1. Set Adventurer
®
portable toilet on its front side so cap on holding tank is in vertical position (see Figure 3). Remove
cap and add SeaLand
®
brand holding tank deodorant by following instructions on deodorant
container. Replace cap firmly.
2. Set Adventurer
®
in upright position and remove cap located right, rear side of fresh water tank. Fill with fresh water
just below the neck of the fresh water fill.
1. The Adventurer
®
portable toilet model 962 has a holding tank capacity of 2.8 gallons, while the 966 has
a holding tank capacity of 5.0 gallons. They should be emptied when contents reach approximately 1/2-inch below
slide valve.
2. Separate tanks by pulling outward on side latches, then lifting upward on fresh water tank. Make sure slide valve is
completely closed. See Figure 2.
3. Use molded-in handle to carry holding tank to permanent toilet facility.
4. Remove cap, with holding tank in vertical position (see Figure 3).
5. To avoid splashing, slowly pour contents into permanent toilet facility.
6. Add fresh water, replace cap and shake tank to rinse.
7. Remove cap and pour rinse water into permanent toilet facility. Replace cap firmly, and assemble freshwater tank
and holding tank together.
8. Prepare for continued use by following steps 1 and 2 of Preparing For Use.
