1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the new Mytek Manhattan DAC Headphone Preamplifier, the best
sounding Mytek DAC to date. Pristine sonics and beatiful contemporary industrial design
allows the Manhattan to easily challenge $10,000+ products from other brands. The
Manhattan has been designed as a digital and analog playback preamplifier and audio
hub. It features a high fidelity, high current headphone amplifier with single ended and
balanced outputs designed to drive most demanding high end headphones, analog
remotely controllable volume control, a choice of analog inputs for external sources such
as vinyl and options for internal phono preamplier and SACD DSD optical digital input.
The DAC is capable of converting high resolution PCM audio up to 384 kHz, and DSD
audio (up to 256xDSD on USB2 and FW) , through high-speed USB 2.0, FireWire,
AES/EBU, SPDIF, or TOSLINK. Driverless “plug and play” is provided via USB 1.1 port (for
PCM audio up to 96 kHz).
